18th - 19th Nov 2020
What started once in 2017 in Malaga was expected to be finalized at the same location with a project’s famous demonstrator – the IRIZAR bus. However, it has reached its end online with the same positive spirit. On the 18th and 19th of November, the 3rd Super Final AutoDrive Review took place in a virtual meeting via WEBEX. The partners had a chance to recap what has been achieved during the project’s life cycle of 3 years and present it to the project reviewers, including the special guests like: executive director of ECSEL JU, Mr. Bert de Colvenaer, Anton Chichkov from Lighthouse Mobility, Patrick Vandenberghe NS Berta Ferrer ECSEL Program Officers, Karlheinz Topp from Bosch, Thomas Harder from the European Center for Power Electronics, Dr. Markus Gaaß and Florian Tornette from VDI/VDE innovation and Francis Deprez from VLAIO. The event has started with an introductory word by the project coordinator Reiner John (director of R&D funded projects at Infineon Technologies), followed by a market overview and product introductions from different project partners from different supply chans, and results achieved presented by the work package 6,7 and 8 leaders.
25th - 26th Nov 2020
AutoDrive representatives were participating in the annual European Forum for Electronic Components and Systems. For two consecutive days from the 25th to 26th of November, stakeholders from the ESC field shared their expertise and know-how on the current COVID19 crisis and what Global position Europe holds in recovery plans. Moreover, what funding instruments will be put in place and the lessons learned from Horizon 2020. Likewise, what the novel Horizon Europe will hold.
It was made clear by now the key priorities on the European Level are smart cities and adaption to climate change. Therefore, our project team is proud to combine its forces in 2017 and become a part of the digital future.
These two days were full of useful information for the visitors and project partners. We would also like to thank everyone for asking questions in the AutoDrive project booth.
We hope you learned a lot of new information when choosing to participate in EFECS 2020. Hopefully, we will see you next time and be able to say hello in person.
