ECPE Workshop ‘Availability of Power Electronics by Fault-Tolerant Designs in Automotive and Aircraft’

On 3rd – 4th of July 2019 ECPE Workshop ‘Availability of Power Electronics by Fault-Tolerant Designs in Automotive and Aircraft’ was held in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany.

The event was used as a dissemination opportunity for AutoDrive project, especially for Supply Chain 1 standing for Fully Automated Driving and Flying Systems Targeting SAE Level 5, and Supply Chain 4 dedicated to Fail-operational 800V automotive powertrain.

The audience amounted to over 80 participants from the European industry and academia working in the field of power electronics. AutoDrive was presented with 8 presentations (out of a total of 19 presentations at the event). Moreover, a special Panel Discussion was arranged to discuss the goals and results of AutoDrive with members of the audience. This session incited a high interest in the project’s technological developments, and a positive resonance. Thanks to this ECPE workshop it became apparent that the goals of AutoDrive are seen as key topics for future developments in automotive sector, and have significant synergy with the current challenges in avionics.
